“We had opened discussions, then I went on holiday,” Warburton told The Scottish Sun. “We will re-open these discussions when we go back and hopefully reach a suitable conclusion.
“It’s one of those cases, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. If you say nothing, people say ‘He’s going’. You can’t win. It’s difficult, so it will be good to put it to rest with some clarification.”

Rangers won the Scottish Championship title with ease last season and will feature in the Scottish Premiership during the 2016-17 campaign.
Warburton has done a truly brilliant job at Rangers so far, and he does deserve a new deal. Moreover, the Englishman has been key in the club signing the likes of Joey Barton and Clint Hill in the summer transfer window so far.
Rangers will be aiming to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
The Gers may not end up clinching the league title in the end, but they should be able to at least give Celtic a run for their money.
