Mkhitaryan's move to United was made official at the weekend by the German side, who confirmed the transfer via their official website.
Klopp wrote in his eBook 'Reading the Game' in 2015, quoted by The Mail: "There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the most talented players in the world.
"He possesses an incredible combination of speed and technique. There’s very, very few you can say that about.
"There’s a reason why the world’s best chess players come from Armenia like Mkhitaryan. Yes, other countries product chess players, but Armenia produces far more than could reasonably expect
"They’re thinkers, they’re hard workers, they graft. And if things aren’t working out, then the problem lies with you somewhere - you start to blame yourself."

At Manchester United, Mkhitaryan really does have the platform to live up to Klopp's billing, and become a global superstar at the Theatre of Dreams.
He could even be the man to force Wayne Rooney out of the first team by assuming his new attacking midfield position.
Mkhitaryan fortunately can play in several roles, and fitting him into the team will not be a problem for new United boss Jose Mourinho.
