Quoted by The Daily Mail, Rangers boss Mark Warburton has revealed that Kenny Miller told him that there was an "excellent" unity within the Gers squad.

Rangers are over in the USA at the moment preparing for their big return to the Scottish Premiership this season.

Warburton masterminded a simple Championship title last season en route to sealing their place back in the big time following a four-year absence.

Rangers looked a very tight-knit group last term, which perhaps explains their success, but Warburton has added no fewer than eight faces to his squad this summer as the former Brentford manager refuses to rest on his laurels.

With so many new players arriving at Ibrox this summer, it would be easy to suggest that the dynamic of the squad may change a little.

But veteran striker Miller has told the Rangers boss that the squad is already much united.

"I had a coffee with Kenny Miller yesterday and he was saying the unity in the dressing room is excellent," he said via The Mail.

Defender Lee Hodson is the latest new face through the door with the Glasgow club, following in the footsteps of Matt Gilks, Clint Hill, Niko Kranjcar, Joey Barton, Jordan Rossiter, Matt Crooks and Josh Windass - the latter two signed pre contracts in January during their time at Accrington Stanley.
