Aston Villa's Jordan Amavi
Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi has tweeted his delight at making his return to pre-season training.
The French full back arrived at the club last summer as one of several signings made by then manager Tim Sherwood.
He proved a big hit at Villa Park too, with a series of impressive performances at the beginning of the campaign despite Villa’s poor form.

His season was cruelly cut short in November though, as he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, an injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
Indeed, the Villans sorely missed him as they were relegated from the Premier League in a dismal campaign.
He is now back in training though, and shared his delight at returning as pre-season training got underway under Roberto di Matteo.
The news was warmly welcomed by Villa teammate Gary Gardner, who tweeted the defender about his return, while Callum Robinson, who recently departed for Preston North End, also sent his congratulations.
Like Gardner, Aston Villa fans were also delighted about the defenders return to fitness, as they shared their delight on Twitter following his post.
