The majority of Aston Villa fans appear to be hoping that Gabriel Agbonlahor leaves Villa Park this summer, despite his recent comments to the Birmingham Mail.
Agbonlahor has spoken of his desire to stay at Villa, and he has promised to give 100% if he is afforded an opportunity by Roberto Di Matteo.
The rapid forward has been working hard over pre-season, to make sure that he returns to training in peak physical condition.
However, Villa fans still do not seem to have forgiven Agbonlahor for his poor performances last term.
Agbonlahor badly underperformed last season, when Villa were relegated from the Premier League.
His off the field conduct was called into question, and he also did not seem to be in the best shape to impress on the football field.
As a result, a number of Villa supporters are hoping that Di Matteo is ruthless with Agbonlahor. Here is the best reaction to the striker’s comments on social media site Twitter.
#AVFC I was feeling quietly confident about the future until I started reading all this nonsense about Agbonlahor - he is unfit for purpose.— bruceamc (@thegolfvillan) July 4, 2016

And here's my decisive message, Gabby:
'Please close the door on your way out'
How #avfc deal with Agbonlahor will tell us a lot about how 'fresh' this new start is. It's unthinkable that he can play for us again.— Silver Fox (@silver_fox24) July 3, 2016
Apart from anything else Agbonlahor has nothing to offer. Always relied on pace, nothing more. Once that went, he was a busted flush. #avfc— Silver Fox (@silver_fox24) July 3, 2016
No time for sentiment for Agbonlahor. Bin him at the first chance we get. #avfc— Matt Lynch (@mattlyynch) July 3, 2016
