Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi and Antonio Sanabria of AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi celebrates after scoring a goal against Frosinone.

Tottenham Hotspur have had their offers for Mauro Icardi and Antonio Sanabria rejected, according to latest reports emanating from Italy.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, as later reported by Football Italia, Tottenham’s €45 million (£37.76m) bid for Inter Milan striker Icardi has been turned down.

It has been reported that the Italian giants have no intention of selling the 23-year-old Argentina international striker in the summer transfer window.

Antonio Sanabria at Barcelona

Sky Sport Italia has reported, as claimed by Football Italia, that Tottenham’s offer for AS Roma striker Antonio Sanabria has been rejected as well.

Sanabria, who is just 20 years of age, has played six times for the Paraguay national football team so far.

Spurs will be disappointed that their offers for the two strikers have been (reportedly) turned down, but these reports give a clear indication about the North London club’s intention in the summer transfer window.

The Premier League club appear to be keen on signing a striker this summer, and this should be positive for the fans.

Harry Kane is Tottenham’s first-choice striker, but Spurs do need another proven goalscorer in order to launch yet another challenge for the Premier League title next season as well as compete in the Champions League.
