Swansea City's Marvin Emnes

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are interested in signing Swansea City forward Marvin Emnes this summer.

New Whites boss Garry Monk has already returned to his former club to bring Kyle Bartley in on loan and now it is being suggested that he could also bring the Dutch forward to Elland Road.

Emnes only has one year left on his current contract and after featuring just twice in the Premier League last season – and only four times in all competitions – it would be no surprise to see him move on.

Emnes has a decent record in the Championship and he would be a savvy addition to a Leeds side in need of more fire-power and creativity despite the recent addition of Swedish striker Marcus Antonsson.

Swansea manager Garry Monk

Although the Swansea fringe player is not the type of footballer whose arrival would set the pulses racing at Leeds, he is a man Monk knows well and if the manager feels he can bring something to his current squad it could be beneficial to all.

Leeds have already strengthened in defence and up front this summer but their fans will be hoping for a few more more arrivals in due course.
