Koeman has identified both Witsel and Schneiderlin as two targets who could improve the Toffees’ squad, but Liverpool are also interested in Witsel.

Liverpool feel that if Schneiderlin does sign for Everton, they would stand a better chance of completing a move for Witsel - as they could offer him first-team football.

Schneiderlin is said to be keen on a move to Everton, after he failed to make much of an impact during his first season at Manchester United.
