It has been reported that Southampton have no plans to offer a new deal to the Italy international striker.
“As usual, Southampton will expect a high price for a forward who finished the season strongly, with six goals in seven games, and want between £10 million and £20 million,” adds the report in The Telegraph.
Pelle is a decent striker and has proven himself in the Premier League.
The former Feyenoord man would be a decent signing for Everton or Chelsea, although it remains to be seen if he is considered worth between £10m and £20m.
Chelsea can certainly afford to pay £20, but they have just signed Michy Batshuayi, who is only 22 years of age and has a lot of potential.
New Everton manager Ronald Koeman worked with Pelle at Southampton and knows the striker very well.
The Toffees can also afford to pay £20m for a player, but perhaps they should first look at a better and younger striker and then make a decision on the 30-year-old.
