According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are willing to trigger the £1 million release clause in Chris Gunter’s contract at Reading.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to improve his squad this summer after replacing Ronny Deila last month.
He has already secured the capture of Moussa Dembele from Fulham, with the youngster heading to Scotland earlier this week.

The Northern Irishman is now turning his attention towards improving the defence and right back is one area he is keen to add in.
That has led him to identifying Gunter as a target, having been impressed by the performances the full back has put in at Euro 2016.
He has been a key member of the Wales squad that has shone in France in reaching the semi final stage of the competition.

He is also likely to have received positive reports from assistant Chris Davies, who worked with the player at Reading before moving to Celtic in May.
The full back would represent a steal at £1 million, and that relatively low cost has Rodgers weighing up the pros and cons of a move, according to the Daily Mail.
