Ibrahimovic has joined United on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The Sweden international striker is a world-class footballer, and Redknapp believes that he will be a success at United.
The former Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder has predicted the 34-year-old former Barcelona and AC Milan striker to score a lot of goals from distance.
“With an enormous personality and a physique to match, Ibrahimovic won’t be bullied the way some players have been over here,” Redknapp wrote in The Daily Mail.
“He’s also got sublime technique and an absolutely booming shot. I can see him scoring plenty of screamers from distance.”
Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has also said that Ibrahimovic will prove to be a good signing for United.
“It’s not a gamble at all,” said Parlour on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, July 1).
“I think it’s a great signing. I think he can be like a Cantona, and it’s a no-brainer for Manchester United.”
Ibrahimovic scored 38 goals and created 45 chances in 31 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season.
In 10 Champions League matches for the French giants, the Swede scored five goals and created 12 chances.
During the 2014-15 campaign, the former Inter Milan striker scored 19 goals and created 36 chances in 24 Ligue 1 matches for PSG.
Ibrahimovic scored two goals and created six chances in six Champions League games for the French club in 2014-15.
