Brendan Rodgers has told the Daily Record that Celtic’s players have become ‘unbelievable’ so far.

Celtic’s players have been back in training for over a fortnight now, with Rodgers still assessing the qualities of his new squad.

The Bhoys have trained in Glasgow first, before taking the team on a tour of Slovenia.

And Rodgers said: “So far, the players have been unbelievable, a joy to work with.

“They smile, they run, they work, they press, they pass. And they have humility.”

Rodgers took charge of his first Celtic match when they played NK Celje last week.

The Bhoys could only manage a 2-2 draw with Celje, but the way they came back in the contest was heartening.

Celtic still have another three fixtures to play on their tour, before they return to Scotland.
