Liverpool fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to discuss the future of Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli is back at Liverpool for pre-season training after spending the 2015-16 campaign on loan at AC Milan.
During his loan spell in Italy last season, the striker scored one goal and created 24 chances in 20 Serie A appearances for Milan.
The former Inter Milan man had a pass accuracy of 73% and a shot accuracy of 40%, and won nine headers, 18 dribbles and seven tackles.
The Italy international, who had injury problems last season, has started pre-season training with Liverpool.
The 25-year-old striker has struggled to do much of note at Liverpool so far, and it remains to be seen if manager Jurgen Klopp considers him as part of his plans for next season.
Balotelli has long been considered as a very promising player, but he has yet to fulfil his talent.
The Italian striker has not played well in recent years, but he remains confident of winning the FIFA Ballon d’Or one day.
“My future? I hope it will be at Liverpool,” Balotelli told Il Corriere della Sera, as translated by The Sun. “In my view there weren’t enough [expectations put on me], as I can do so much more than what I said. But it takes time.
“On the scale of 0 to 10, I stopped at five, but I’ll get to 10 eventually. I want to get there. I will win the Ballon d’Or.”
Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Balotelli’s comments about winning the Ballon d’Or and his future.
