According to the Stoke Sentinel, Stoke City are plotting an ambitious move for Nani.
The report claims that boss Mark Hughes would love to sign the Portuguese winger this summer though his plans could be scuppered by new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
Nani only joined Fenerbahce from United on a permanent deal 12 months ago after falling out of favour at Old Trafford, yet the former Sporting Lisbon man has been in excellent form, prompting plenty of interest.
Stoke are on the lookout for added quality this summer as they look to build on three successive ninth place finishes in the Premier League, and they have a habit of signing Champions League winners.
Bojan Krkic, Ibrahim Afellay and Xherdan Shaqiri have all been lured to the Britannia Stadium, and now Hughes is looking to add a fourth European champion in the form of Nani.
The report goes on to say how the Stoke boss is confident of selling the club to the 29-year-old, though new United boss Jose Mourinho could offer him a spectacular return to Old Trafford.
Nani is currently on international duty with Portugal and has helped the club reach the European Championship semi-finals, scoring two goals in five starts.
A report in Turkish publication Son Medya claimed Everton were also interested in signing him this summer, while Nani himself told Spanish paper AS recently that a switch to La Liga is an option amid reports he could join Valencia.
