Leicester City will significantly have to strengthen their squad this summer ahead of their maiden Champions League adventure as well as Premier League title defence and a number of players have been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium over the past few weeks.
The Foxes have already strengthen their defence with the signings of Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez last month and now manager Claudio Ranieri seems to be planning to reinforce his attacking lineup.
Leicester have been handed a huge boost after star man Jamie Vardy decided to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Foxes but it is clear that Ranieri needs to sign another striker this summer in order for his side to sufficiently deal with the added rigours of European football.
Now if reports from ESPN Brasil are to be believed, Leicester are currently in negotiations with Brazilian side Gremio over the potential signing of Luan.
Luan is a exciting young striker, who has been able to catch the attention of European clubs with his performances for Germio over the past few seasons and he was even included in the provisional Brazilian national team squad ahead of the Copa America Centenario.
Leicester are believed to be among the teams interested in signing Luan and the reports state that a representative from the Premier League side travelled to Porto Alegre in order to discuss a potential move with the striker’s agent, Jair Peixoto.
Germio have reportedly placed an asking price of around £20 million on Luan and it will be interesting to see if Leicester are successful in their pursuit to sign the 23-year-old.
