Stekelenburg worked with Koeman at Premier League side Southampton last season (on loan from Fulham) and also at Dutch giants Ajax in the early noughties.

The former AS Roma goalkeeper featured in 17 Premier League matches for Southampton during the 2015-16 campaign, keeping six clean sheets in the process.
