According to the Guardian, Dimitri Payet’s long-term advisor Jacques-Olivier Auguste has promised he will be staying at West Ham United this summer.

The midfielder has been one of the stars of Euro 2016 this summer with a series of impressive performances for the hosts France.

He has continued the fine form which he enjoyed last season, when he was a star of the show for the Hammers in the Premier League.

His performances have sparked interest in his services, with the likes of Real Madrid and PSG both linked with potential moves this summer.

However, his advisor has somewhat quashed those rumours with his latest comments about the midfielder’s future.

“He has a great contract with West Ham so I cannot see him leaving. Dimitri is happy in London,” Jacques-Olivier Auguste told the Guardian.

“You never know in football but only West Ham know what price they want if they decide to sell him.”

It now remains to be seen if West Ham can keep hold of Payet should there be big money bids for his services this summer.

Given how well he has played in the last year it would not be surprising to see the big European sides make a move at any point.

Fortunately the Hammers have their star man signed to a new long-term deal and will be hoping they can fight off any potential interest in his services.
