According to reports from ABC Sevilla, Federico Fazio has been subject to interest from a host of clubs and could leave Tottenham Hotspur permanently in the coming months,
Tottenham secured the services of Fazio from Sevilla in the summer of 2014 but it would be fair to state that the Argentine's time at White Hart Lane so far has proved to be an unmitigated disaster.
Fazio struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League and having failed to make a single Premier League appearance last season, the 29-year-old made a loan move back to Sevilla during the January transfer window.
However, the defender’s fortunes did not improve upon his return to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán as he was afforded only four La Liga appearances by then-manager Unai Emery.
It is currently clear to see that Fazio is neither wanted by Tottenham nor Sevilla and the defender looks certain to leave White Hart Lane permanently this summer.
Now according to reports from ABC Sevilla, Fazio is wanted by a number of clubs despite his struggles over the past two seasons and a transfer away from Tottenham looks likely.
Fazio has proved to be a disastrous signing for Spurs and they will certainly have to do well to recoup a portion of the £8 million splashed on his services two seasons ago.
