Rangers earned promotion with a thin squad, but Warburton has quickly tried to add depth for the new campaign.

Rangers have been the busiest side in Scottish football so far this summer.

And Warburton said: “A lot of our business has been done early which we wanted to do as a club, so it’s good news and it puts a good message out to the fans.”

Rangers appear to have slightly adapted their transfer policy this summer, with more experienced recruits joining.

The Light Blues focussed mainly on bringing young players to Ibrox last summer, but they have brought in a host of more experienced stars this time around.

Rangers are not finished with their transfer dealings yet, with Warburton aiming to bring in two new signings before the new campaign starts (Sky Sports).
