Leeds United forward Eoghan Stokes has signed a new one-year contract at Elland Road.
Leeds United youngster Eoghan Stokes has expressed his delight a penning a new deal at Elland Road.
Stokes’ future at Leeds was in doubt, with his contract coming to an end in the coming weeks, but the young forward penned a new one-year deal yesterday.
Stokes was pleased to have ended any uncertainty over his future, and posted a message on social media site Twitter after news about him signing a new contract broke.
He wrote: "Delighted to sign a new deal today @lufcofficial can't wait to get the season started now and see what it brings."
Stokes has been training with Leeds’ first-team throughout the entirety of pre-season so far, and Garry Monk has obviously been impressed by the striker’s talents.
Leeds fans are also excited about the prospect’s potential, and they are pleased to see him stay for another year.

Stokes is yet to make a first-team appearance for Leeds, but he did score eight goals for their under-21 side last term.
Stokes is one of a number of Leeds’ youth team to commit their future to the Yorkshire club this summer, by signing new contracts.
