Kenny Jackett’s future as Wolves manager, and the future ownership of the club, has been cast into doubt this week with reports that emanated from Spain.

Marca were one of many reputable Spanish sources who claimed this week that former Porto boss Julen Lopetegui was set to become the new manager of Wolves. Diario as then reported that Lopetegui’s appointment would be as part of a takeover bid from Chinese businessman Robin Li.

These reports were very exciting news for Wolves fans, who began to think the talented Spanish coach could be about to ignite some flair into the playing style at the Molineux.

But whilst Spanish reports are seeming to suggest that Lopetegui is all set to become the new Wolves manager, reports in England differ.

The Express and Star have reported that there is no truth in the stories, citing sources close to the club, and it seems the feeling in the Midlands is that the Spaniard is not set to become the new Wolves boss.

But there is surely something in the reports from Spain, considering they come from two of the more reputable sources in the country, so do not give up on this rumour just yet
