Christian Benteke celebrates scoring the first goal for Liverpool
According to the Telegraph, Liverpool have told Crystal Palace that it will take £30 million for them to sign Christian Benteke.
Benteke looks destined to leave Anfield this summer after a disappointing first year since joining from Aston Villa last summer.
He has failed to impress Jurgen Klopp since he took charge in October, ending up down the pecking order as the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi shone under the German.
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew
Alan Pardew is keen to bring him to Selhurst Park this summer as he looks to add the striker that his squad desperately needs.
However, they will have to pay big money to bring the Belgian to London, with Liverpool telling them they want £30 million for his signature, according to the Telegraph.
The club’s owners are adamant that they do not need to sell Benteke on the cheap and want to recoup much of what they paid for him last summer.

The assumption has been that because he has been out of favour then he will be allowed to leave on the cheap, but that will not be the case.
It now remains to be seen if he will leave at all, with the large asking price that Liverpool have set sure to make interested parties look elsewhere.
