According to reports from L’Equipe, Premier League club Bournemouth are on the verge of securing the services of Lys Mousset.

Mousset was one of the most prolific strikers in the French Ligue 2 last season as he managed an impressive 14 goals in just 28 appearances in all competitions.

In spite of his fine record though, Le Havre were unable to earn promotion into the French top flight and as a result it is widely expected that Mousset could be leaving the Stade Océane this summer.

Given his exploits last season, it has been no surprise to see a host of clubs keen on signing the striker and recently a number of other clubs have been credited with interest.

Now in a development to the story, French publication L’Equipe have gone on to claim that Bournemouth have managed to stave off competition from Bristol City and Tottenham Hotspur and are currently poised to secure the services of Mousset.

An estimate of the transfer fee has not been revealed by the reports but it has been stated that Bournemouth could seal the deal by the end of the week.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe has been looking to strengthen his squad this summer and the signing of a talented young player such as Mousset would certainly be a welcome addition.
