Newcastle United have agreed their third deal this week after coming to agreement with Bournemouth over Matt Ritchie, HITC Sport understands.

Newcastle have already signed goalkeeper Matz Sels from Ghent, whilst Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle is undergoing a medical - a deal confirmed exclusively by HITC Sport.

Now HITC Sport can reveal that Ritchie is also due in the North East in the next 24 hours ahead of a deal being confirmed on Friday.

Once again Newcastle will pay in excess of £10million for Ritchie - and in total take their spending for the week to more than £25million as owner Mike Ashley gives boss Rafa Benitez the backing to get the club back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Scottish winger Ritchie was one of Bournemouth's star when they took the Championship by storm 12-months ago, and whilst he could not quite hit similar levels in the Premier League - he still played a leading role for Eddie Howe's men - starting more than 30 games.

But now Newcastle have met Bournemouth's asking price and Ritchie is understood to have jumped as the prospect of joining the Magpies.
