The hitman has been linked with Liverpool this summer.
Speculation mounted earlier this month that the Argentina marksman could be set for a switch to Liverpool after Klopp was apparently photographed sitting beside his agent and brother Nicolas Higuain at a Copa America game.
On Tuesday, the 28-year-old's representative revealed via ESPN that Higuain would not be extending his Napoli contract in a revelation which fuelled further rumours that he could be leaving Italy this summer.
He may or may not be heading to Liverpool, but the agent insists that he has not met with the Reds manager to thrash out a deal for his brother, whose buy-out clause with the Naples outfit is £72 million.
“I’ve been in Argentina for a month, I was also in Paris to see PSG because I have other French players as clients and many friends in football, but now I see everywhere that I met [Jurgen] Klopp too but none of this is true," he said via The Express about Higuain, who scored 36 Serie A goals in 35 games last term.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool are even interested in signing a striker this summer.
By virtue of the fact Klopp has Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge, Christian Benteke and a fit-again Danny Ings at his disposal, you could say that he has a wealth of striking options, even if Benteke is expected to leave.
