Do Leeds United still need to fix this glaring hole in the squad?

Leeds United still lack a convincing right winger.

Leeds United have their first summer signing secured, after announcing the addition of striker Marcus Antonsson, via their official website.

Next on their list appears to be a centre-back, with deals for Kyle Bartley [via Yorkshire Evening Post] and Joel Ekstrand [via Bristol Post] speculated upon.

Either or both of these would be clever additions, and strengthening the spine of the team with improved options at centre-back is of course a sensible move.

Yet the lack of options on the wing, particularly on the right, has to be a worry for new boss Garry Monk ahead of the new season.

On the right wing, Leeds have only one natural option, Jordan Botaka, who had a mixed first season at the club and failed to seize his chance.

His second campaign will surely be better, but with the club aiming for promotion they need an alternative, or fans could be seeing more of young right-back Lewie Coyle playing on the wing as he did last season at times, or pushing Lewis Cook or Alex Mowatt into the roles.

Leeds have a good option on the left in Stuart Dallas, but lack depth behind him, and will be forced to look at solutions in pre-season with the winger set to join up late due to his Euro 2016 involvement.

There is still plenty of time for Leeds to add players in wide areas, but if they are really hoping to become an exciting, expansive team, they will need more options in the positions in order to do so.
