According to a report in The London Evening Standard earlier this month, Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to sell Alex Pritchard in the summer transfer window.

It was reported that Premier League duo Middlesbrough and Swansea City are interested in signing the 23-year-old, who can play as a winger or an attacking midfielder.

Spurs' initial request is thought to be around the £8million mark but clubs chasing him are unlikely to offer that much for a player yet to establish himself in the top flight,” stated the report in The London Evening Standard.

Pritchard has yet to prove himself in the Premier League, but he would be a brilliant signing for any club in the Championship, which is why Leeds United should make a move for him.

Paying a transfer fee of £8 million might not be too enticing to Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino, but the West Yorkshire outfit should at least try to sign the 23-year-old on a season-long loan deal.

During the 2014-15 campaign when he was on loan at Brentford, Pritchard scored 11 goals and created as many as 111 chances in 46 Championship appearances.

The former England Under-21 international was one of the best attacking midfielders in the Championship that season, and he would be an asset for Leeds.

The Whites would be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season and are expected to play attacking football under new manager Garry Monk.

Pritchard, who had injury concerns and struggled for playing time during a loan spell at West Bromwich Albion last season, would be determined to prove himself all over again.

The talented attacking midfielder would also be hungry for playing time, and Monk would get a footballer full of determination and hunger.

Leeds do have some good midfielders, such as Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook, but Pritchard would add something extra and more creativity.
