Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United want to tie up the signings of Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan and free agent striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic by next Tuesday.
United secured Jose Mourinho as their new manager last month, and the first signing of the Mourinho era arrived earlier this month with a huge deal for Villarreal defender Eric Bailly.
Now though, Mourinho is looking for attacking reinforcements to boost his squad at Old Trafford, and two big-money deals appear to be close.
The Telegraph report that United are closing in on the signatures of Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan, as well as free agent striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic - and want deals done for both players before Mourinho is unveiled to the press next Tuesday.
Dortmund playmaker Mkhitaryan was a star with the Bundesliga giants last season, hitting 16 goals and 20 assists in all competitions, forming a devastating attacking trio alongside Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Now, the Armenian star is believed to be on the verge of a huge move to Old Trafford, with The Telegraph claiming a deal worth up to £31.7m has been agreed, with the player set to put the final touches to his move.
Whilst Mkhitaryan's deal is big-money in terms of the transfer fee, United's move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be centred around the huge wages of the striker.
The Swede, 34, has left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract and is therefore a free agent, and a reunion with his former Inter Milan boss Mourinho appears to be on the verge of completion.
It's claimed that Ibrahimovic, who has hit 392 goals in 677 games at club level - including 156 goals in 180 games for PSG - will undergo a medical with United this week, and will pen a one-year contract, with an option of a second year also possible.
Do you think Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic will be good signing for Manchester United?
