The Leeds United defender was nowhere to be seen when his side returned to training earlier this week.
The 26-year-old was a notable absentee when Leeds returned to the training field on Monday as new manager Garry Monk seeks to get his side ready for what could be a huge campaign at Elland Road.
The former Swansea City boss will be hoping to guide the Whites to promotion at the first time of asking, but it remains to be seen if Bellusci will be part of his long-term plans given the presence of Liam Cooper and Sol Bamba and the potential loan signing of Kyle Bartley.
Whatever the future holds, Bellusci is likely to begin Leeds training in due course, with the YEP reporting that he was given permission to remain in Italy to resolve family issues but is expected to return to England shortly.
The defender divides opinion among the Leeds faithful despite some considerably better performances in the final few months of last season.
He has featured 61 times for Leeds to date and only time will tell if he adds to that or moves on this summer.
