Kyle Lafferty left Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers back in 2012, but his career has failed to take off since then.
Glasgow Rangers supporters have had a mixed reaction to Kyle Lafferty’s comments that he would like to return to Ibrox in the Daily Record.
Lafferty left Rangers back in 2012, to join Sion after requesting a transfer.
When Lafferty exited, Rangers fans were outraged by Lafferty’s decision to move on at a time when the Glasgow club were having in serious financial problems.
It seems that some Rangers fans have still not forgiven Lafferty for his actions, but others are more open to a return for the Northern Ireland international.
Weird how all these ex rangers players are dreaming about returning 1 day now that we're back in the top league! Kyle Lafferty chase yerself

Fair play to Lafferty for being open about how he left Rangers and saying he regrets it. Different from him hiding away like the rest!!

I'd take lafferty back at rangers, same way I welcomed kenny back after he played for them. He was hated to now he's loved. Give em a chance

Since leaving Rangers, Lafferty’s career has failed to kick on to the next level.
The striker’s move to Sion only lasted for a year, and he has since gone on to represent Palermo and his current club Norwich City.
Lafferty has failed to make much of an impact with the Canaries, and will move on this summer.
Lafferty has been linked with the likes of Birmingham City and Leeds United in recent times.
