The agent of Carlos Bacca speaks regarding the striker’s transfer situation.
Carlos Bacca’s agent, Sergio Barila, has admitted to Calcio Mercato that they are playing the waiting game regarding the transfer of the Colombian international.
It is no secret that West Ham United are currently in the market to sign a new striker this summer and the duo of Michy Batshuayi and Carlos Bacca have been mentioned as the two main targets for the Hammers.
According to reports from the Guardian though, West Ham are set to lose out on the race to sign Batshuayi to fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace and it seemingly looks like the London side will now have to shift their full attention to securing the services of Bacca.
Sky Sports had revealed earlier in June that West Ham had a bid of around £15 million for Bacca rejected by AC Milan, with his agent, Sergio Barila, confirming the reports while speaking to the Guardian.
Now Barila has gone on to provide an update regarding West Ham’s pursuit of Bacca and has stated that they are currently waiting for the green light from Milan for any transfer to go ahead.
Speaking to Calcio Mercato, Barila said: "Now we must wait for the decisions of Milan, in Europe there are several important teams interested in Carlos."
Milan recently completed the signing of Gianluca Lapadula from Pescara and the deal could potentially pave the way for West Ham to complete a swoop for Bacca.
