Sunderland are allegedly in talks to sign Yann M’Vila permanently.
Sunderland endured a roller coaster campaign last term and managed to stave off relegation by the skin of their teeth following a wonderful turnaround under manager Sam Allardyce.
While Sunderland may have struggled for consistency last term, one player who was solid throughout the course of the campaign was midfielder Yann M’Vila.
M’Vila joined Sunderland from Rubin Kazan on a season-long loan deal and he made 40 appearances in all competitions, playing a key role in helping the Black Cats retain their Premier League status.
As a result, it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing Sunderland expressing their interest in landing the services of the 25-year-old on a permanent deal.
Now according to reports from French publication L’Equipe, claims have been made that Sunderland have initiated contact with Rubin Kazan over the permanent signing of M’Vila and they hope to seal the transfer before the start of the first game of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
A fee has not been mentioned as of yet but M’Vila is also keen on facilitating a move back to Sunderland and a transfer coming into fruition is well within the realms of possibility.
