Aston Villa's Brad Guzan
According to the Daily Mail, Middlesbrough want two goalkeepers this summer, and are considering a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan.
Sporting Gijon defender Bernardo Espinosa has arrived, as has Ajax winger Viktor Fischer, with manager Aitor Karanka looking to strengthen his squad.
Now though, Karanka is looking to resolve his goalkeeping problems, as whilst he has Dimitrios Konstantopoulos and Tomas Mejias in his ranks, he would allegedly like two goalkeepers this summer - suggesting the aforementioned duo could be on the way out this summer.
The Daily Mail report that whilst Middlesbrough are pushing to land Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels, they have also considered moves for Victor Valdes and Aston Villa's Brad Guzan.
Villa veteran Guzan, 31, suffered a testing season at Villa Park, and came in for huge criticism as Villa suffered relegation to the Championship.
The United States international even lost his place in the starting line-up to Mark Bunn at one point last season, and it seems that eight years after joining from Chivas USA, Guzan's time at Villa Park could ultimately be coming to an end this summer.
Middlesbrough could offer Guzan an immediate return to the Premier League, with his top flight experience potentially vital for manager Karanka, as he looks to keep Boro away from relegation next term.
Would you let Guzan join Middlesbrough?
