Liverpool are close to wrapping up the signing of Sadio Mane, report The BBC.
Mane is claimed to be in Liverpool for a medical, with a £30 million fee agreed with Southampton.
Matthew Le Tissier
The news caught the attention of former Southampton star Matt Le Tissier, regarded as one of their greatest ever players.
Le Tissier admitted that his previous comments on Mane had been slightly off, having said that the winger would cost £40 million.

Le Tissier had been asked over the weekend if Nathan Redmond's signing at Southampton made Mane's Liverpool switch inevitable.
Does the signing of Redmond mean Mane's on his way to Liverpool? @mattletiss7

Mane has been at Southampton for two years, and quickly established himself as one of the most explosive players in the Premier League.

The winger netted 11 goals last season for the Saints including a brace against Liverpool, which no doubt impressed Jurgen Klopp.
Despite this the £30 million fee is a pricey one, even if it may be market rate for a player of his talent, but Le Tissier's previous suggestion he was worth £40 million was certainly pushing it, and even Southampton themselves did not push Liverpool that far.
