Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has been playing well for Wales at the Euro 2016 finals in France so far.

Liverpool fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Joe Allen’s performance for Wales against Northern Ireland at the weekend.

Wales took on Northern Ireland in the last-16 stage of the 2016 European Championship in France on Saturday.

Chris Coleman’s side won the encounter 1-0 at Parc des Princes in Paris, thanks to an own goal from Gareth McAuley in the 75th minute.

Allen started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the Liverpool midfielder gave yet another good performance.

The 26-year-old struggled to find his rhythm or passing range in the first half, but he did step up his game in the second period.

The former Swansea City midfielder had a pass accuracy of 79%, created one chance, attempted one dribble, won 63% of his tackles and 50% of his headers, and made two interceptions and one clearance.

Allen has been one of the best players for Wales at the Euro 2016 finals in France so far and has been a key figure in his nation’s progress to the quarter-finals.

In four matches at the 2016 European Championship, the midfielder has created five chances, has a pass accuracy of 85%, and has won two headers, six dribbles and five tackles.

The Liverpool midfielder has been linked with moves away from Anfield in the summer transfer window.

According to a recent report in The Daily Mail, Swansea, Leicester City, Stoke City, Bournemouth and Sevilla are all interested in securing the services of the Wales international midfielder this summer.

The Times has credited Southampton with an interest in the 26-year-old former Swansea star, while The Daily Record claims that Scottish Premiership giants Celtic want him.

The Daily Star has credited West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion with interest in Allen.
