Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Vincent Janssen from AZ in the summer transfer window.

Netherland's Vincent Janssen celebrates.

AZ manager John van den Brom has told Voetbal Zone that he is not panicking about losing Vincent Janssen in the summer transfer window.

Janssen has been linked with moves away from AZ this summer, with De Telegraaf claiming that Tottenham Hotspur have had three bids rejected for the striker.

According to a report in L'Equipe, French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing the 22-year-old striker.

“Whether he will remain here is the key question for the club and for Vincent himself,” Van den Brom told Voetbal Zone, as translated by Sport Witness. “We have to wait and see.

"I do not get too panicked because I know how it works. Of course I hope he stays. He is a good striker who has not become top scorer for nothing. We’ll see.”

Janssen is a talented young striker, and it is almost inevitable that he will leave AZ, if not this summer then the next.

The Netherlands international scored 27 goals and created 56 chances in 34 Eredivisie matches for AZ during the 2015-16 season.

The 22-year-old had a pass accuracy of 73% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and won 21 headers, 35 dribbles and 21 tackles.

Van den Brom’s comments suggest that he is not worried about losing Janssen, and perhaps that there is a chance that he could remain at the Dutch club.

Leaving AZ for Tottenham or PSG must be quite tempting for Janssen, but the striker should also consider the fact that he may not play regularly for either of the interested clubs next season.
