Randolph after Ireland's Euro 2016 exit on Monday
Few Ireland players will return from Euro 2016 with their stock as high as Darren Randolph's.
The West Ham United goalkeeper was arguably the Boys in Green's most consistent performer in France, but is poised to begin the coming campaign back on the Hammers' bench, with the form of Adrian so far denying him an extended run in the Premier League.
Despite only joining a year ago, it is time for him to fly the nest? Here are three clubs for whom he would excel...
Reported Villa target Leali (R)
The Villans were linked with a move for Juventus goalkeeper Nicola Leali this week (Di Marzio), with Brad Guzan's future growing increasingly uncertain. However, for a side with promotion ambitions this coming season, someone with experience of the Championship would perhaps be more suitable. Randolph's Birmingham City connections could be an issue - though it's not like he's Alex McLeish.
Silvestri could be dumped by Monk
New boss Garry Monk wants to replace Marco Silvestri with a British number 1, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, with Lees Grant and Camp both linked. Though Randolph does not technically meet the outlined criteria, it's unlikely Monk will be quite so literal when it comes down to it. The 29-year-old has two seasons of Championship competency behind him, which you'd expect to be considered above his nationality.
37-year-old Konstantopoulos is cracking on a bit
While Randolph would not look out of place in the Premier League, few first-choice vacancies are seemingly available. Everton appear to have bigger fish to fry but Boro, who were linked with Gent's Matz Sels this weekend (HITC), could be an attractive option, with only an ageing Dimi Konstantopoulos currently in the Irishman's path.
