Celtic have been linked with a move for Shane Duffy.
Republic of Ireland's Shane Duffy
The Bhoys haven't made a new signing under new manager Brendan Rodgers yet, but a move for a new striker could be a priority for the ex-Liverpool boss.
Jozo Simunovic endured an up-and-down first season at Celtic having arrived from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, with injuries curtailing his impact for most of the campaign.
Fellow summer signing Dedryck Boyata struggled at times following his move from Manchester City, and whilst January addition Erik Sviatchenko showed some ability in the second half of last season, question marks remain over the futures of Charlie Mulgrew and Efe Ambrose.
Now, the Daily Mail believe that Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy is a potential target for Celtic, having turned in some decent performances for the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016 - though he did get sent off against France on Sunday.
The ex-Everton centre back, 24, starred for Blackburn in the Championship last season and looks destined for a move this summer, and he would fit the bill for Celtic as they pursue a new centre back.
However, the Daily Record report that Rodgers won't be targeting Duffy, and will instead look towards other targets this summer, with Duffy's huge wages at Ewood Park noted as a possible reason for Celtic looking elsewhere - with Kolo Toure a target according to The Scottish Sun.
