The striker has been transfer listed by AC Milan and Everton should make a move.

If Everton want to make a statement signing in this summer transfer window, then Carlos Bacca could be the ideal target.

The Blues are expected to be busy in this transfer window, with new manager Ronald Koeman reportedly being given strong backing by Farhad Moshiri.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Blues shareholder is determined to make a marquee signing this summer that would make the Premier League take notice of the Toffees.

If those reports are true then a move for Bacca would be a sensible one for them to make.

The striker has been transfer listed by AC Milan, according to CalcioMercato, with them wanting £21.2million for his services.

At that price he would represent a smart purchase for any Premier League side, but for Everton in particular he would be the big signing they want without breaking the bank.

They are also reportedly keen on a move for another striker this summer to back up Romelu Lukaku and have been linked with a £16milllion move for Vincent Aboubakar by the Daily Mail.

For an extra few million, Bacca is a much smarter purchase given the experience he has playing in Italy and Spain and the form he showed in both countries.

Speaking of experience, his time in those leagues, as well as success with Sevilla in the Europa League could also stand a relatively youthful Everton squad in good stead.

Of course, they are not likely to be the only club interested in his services, but if the price quoted is true, Everton should firmly be interested in a move.
