Liverpool's Jordon Ibe celebrates scoring
The Baggies need an injection of pace in the final third this summer, especially given that Stephane Sessegnon has been released and question marks remain over the future of Sadio Berahino.
A speedy winger would be welcomed by West Brom fans, who are desperate to see a more attractive brand of football under Tony Pulis next season - and it seems that Pulis has identified a top target.
However, it's added that Pulis is set to return with a loan offer for the youngster, with the Baggies keen to take Ibe to The Hawthorns for the duration of the 2016/17 season.
Ibe, 20, joined Liverpool from Wycombe Wanderers as a 16-year-old back in 2012, and he was regarded as one of English football's brightest young prospects.
After loan spells with Birmingham City and Derby County, Ibe has been trying to establish himself in the Liverpool side, and made a total of 41 appearances in all competitions.
However, Ibe's future has been brought into question as Liverpool are pursuing other attacking players, and 20-year-old Ibe will want to play first-team football.
It's believed that Liverpool still value Ibe at around £10m and could offer him in a deal for Southampton's Sadio Mane, meaning that West Brom's hopes of landing Ibe on loan could be hanging by a thread.
