Bayern Munich are interested in signing Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a key player for Tottenham, and has shown his versatility by playing in defensive midfield and in central defence.
The youngster is on international duty at the moment, playing for England at the ongoing 2016 European Championship in France.
Dier has been playing well for the Three Lions at the Euro 2016 finals, and The Mirror has claimed that German giants Bayern, who are one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world, have been keeping tabs on him.
It has been reported that Bayern’s backroom staff have been making background checks on the former Sporting Lisbon youngster during the last few days.
“Several contacts within the Premier League have been asked for further details on the player’s character as the German club builds up a dossier on the versatile 22-year-old,” adds the report in The Mirror.
Dier has scored one goal and created two chances in three matches for England at the Euro 2016 finals in France so far.
The Tottenham midfielder has a pass accuracy of 89% and a shot accuracy of 25%, and has won six headers, two dribbles and three tackles.
The youngster scored three goals and created 18 chances in 37 Premier League matches for Spurs last season.
Dier had a pass accuracy of 83% and a shot accuracy of 33%, and won 84 headers, eight dribbles and 64 tackles.
