Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes has suggested in The Sunday Times that he rates Arsenal star Mesut Ozil highly.
Ozil is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world, but he divides opinion among football followers.
While some cannot speak highly enough of the former Real Madrid star’s creativity and ability to provide assists, there are others who claim that he goes missing in games and does not help out defensively.
Former Everton and United boss Moyes has made it clear that he considers Ozil a very good player.
“Mesut Ozil is another great asset to them when it comes to using the ball,” Moyes wrote in The Sunday Times while discussing the Germany team.
“He may divide opinion between Premier League fans but I think Ozil is a very good player.”
Ozil scored six goals and created 144 chances in 35 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season.
During the 2014-15 campaign, the former Madrid star scored four goals and created 70 chances in 22 league matches for the Gunners.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is on international duty at the moment, playing for Germany at the ongoing 2016 European Championship in France.
The former Schalke and Werder Breman star has created 12 chances in three matches for Germany at the Euro 2016 finals so far.
