Charlie Nicholas has suggested to Sky Sports that Arsenal should make a move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata in the summer transfer window.
Morata is on international duty at the moment, playing for Spain at the ongoing 2016 European Championship in France.
The 23-year-old striker is back at Spanish giants Madrid, having spent the past two seasons at Italian giants Juventus.
Former Arsenal forward Nicholas has suggested that the Gunners should make a move for the Spain international striker. The former Celtic man, though, is not convinced that Morata is a top striker yet.
“I'm still believing though, especially with Alvaro Morata on a roll and full of confidence,” Nicholas told Sky Sports while discussing Spain’s chances of winning the 2016 European Championship in France.
“He's somebody I'd like Arsenal to sign and, while I'm not sure he's a top striker yet and still has a lot to learn, he's got a great chance of adding to his tally of three with the players he's got creating chances around him.”
Morata has scored three goals and created one chance in three matches for Spain at the Euro 2016 finals in France so far.
During the 2015-16 campaign, the striker scored seven goals and created 28 chances in 34 Serie A appearances for Juventus.
The Spain international scored two goals and created 10 chances in eight Championship games for Juve last season.
During the 2014-15 season, Morata scored eight goals and created 19 chances in 29 Serie A matches for Juventus.
