Garry Monk will be looking to strengthen his Leeds United squad over the summer, and Anthony Limbombe is rumoured to be one of his main targets.
Will Leeds United manager Garry Monk see Limbombe as the perfect signing?
Dutch sports outlet Voetbal Krant are reporting exclusively that Bundesliga side Hamburg have joined Leeds United in the race to sign NEC's Belgian winger Anthony Limbombe.
Voetbal Krant also suggest that La Liga side Granada are interested in bringing the 21-year-old speedster to Spain.
The Elland Road faithful will be expecting a better season under Monk
The West Yorkshire club endured a poor season in the Championship last term, finishing 13th in the league, managing to score only 50 goals in 46 outings. It is clear that they need more firepower going forward, and an increased goal threat from midfield.
Limbombe scored seven goals in 32 Eredivisie appearances for NEC last term, and it is that kind of goal threat from out wide that would improve Leeds dramatically.
The one negative aspect of Limbombe's game is his aerial ability and sense of defensive responsibility. These are two areas that he would have to drastically improve if he were to be a success in English football.
Anthony Limbombe has the potential to get the Leeds fans excited
Rumours surrounding Limbombe's future intensified in April, when his agent revealed he could join an English club in the summer, amid interest from the Elland Road club, as reported in an exclusive article by Sport Witness.
Should a move away from the Dutch side materialise, Leeds will now have their work cut out if they are to bring the exciting young Belgian to the club.
Monk needs more firepower at Leeds, is Limbombe the answer?
