Spurs landed one midfielder this week with the signature of Southampton ace Victor Wanyama, and whilst he appears to fill a major need thanks to his power and aggression, there could yet be more moves in midfield.
Question marks hang over the likes of Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll, with at least one expected to be playing elsewhere next season - and that notion has been supported by talk of another midfielder being targeted by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Lemina, 22, spent last season on loan at Italian giants Juventus having made his name with Marseille, and Juve made his move permanent earlier this summer - but the arrival of Miralem Pjanic has cast some doubt over Lemina's long-term future in Turin.
The Gabon international is predominantly a central midfielder with great energy and athleticism, with his potential seemingly attracting teams who want to offer him first-team football away from a crowded Juventus midfield.
However, Tuttosport believe that despite three teams wanting to sign Lemina, Juventus don't necessarily want to sell the player this summer, meaning it may take a huge bid to lure him away from Massimiliano Allegri's side.
Tottenham's alleged interest is particularly interesting, as it's often claimed that manager Pochettino discusses possible transfer targets with his former mentor Marcelo Bielsa, with RMC Sport recently claiming such a situation with Newcastle winger Florian Thauvin, who worked with Bielsa at Marseille.
Lemina is another player who Bielsa managed with the French side, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Pochettino had asked Bielsa about a possible move for the young midfielder as Spurs look to strengthen their squad for the Champions League.
