Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Tahith Chong has claimed that he has been left very impressed with the facilities available to young players at Manchester United.
Following much speculation, it was revealed earlier this month that highly rated Dutch youngster Tahith Chong would be making a move to Manchester United.
The player himself took to social media website Instagram to break the news last week, although Manchester United have not yet made an official announcement as of yet.
Chong had caught the attention of United scouts while playing for the Feyenoord Under-17 side at the Premier Cup held in United’s Carrington complex last summer and the Red Devils are believed to have staved off interest from the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea to sign the youngster.
Now speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the 16-year-old has gone on to reveal that he has been left impressed by the facilities at Manchester United and that he has already contacted a few of his future teammates.
He said, “I’ve been there a few times and I am definitely impressed by the club. United have good accommodation for youth players and it is up to me to make that step. My parents will go to England and it’s good to have their support there.
"Through Instagram I have already had contact with three guys from the team but otherwise I do not know yet the team."
Chong is set to join United’s youth academy, which is currently managed by former midfielder Nicky Butt and the youngster will surely be eyeing a move up to the senior team in the foreseeable future.
