Bury are set to sign released Rangers forward Nicky Clark in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

Clark is a free agent at the moment, having been released by Scottish Premiership-bound Rangers at the end of May.

This means that Bury, who are in League One at the moment, would be able to sign the 25-year-old on a free transfer.

It has been reported by The Daily Mail that Southend United and Peterborough United are also interested in securing the services of the former Rangers forward this summer.

Clark is a good player and would be a decent signing for Bury, who finished 14th in the League One table during the 2015-16 season.

The forward did not score too many goals at Rangers - just 23 in 102 appearances - and that is something that he should look at and hopefully improve on.

Rangers won the Scottish Championship last season and will feature in the Scottish Premiership during the 2016-17 campaign.

The Gers also clinched the Scottish Challenge Cup and reached the final of the Scottish Cup in 2015-16.
