The Celtic players have already started pre-season training ahead of the upcoming 2016-17 Champions League qualifiers.
Rodgers was appointed as the Celtic manager earlier this summer following the departure of Ronny Deila.
Defensive midfielder Bitton has revealed that he is looking forward to working with the former Liverpool and Swansea City boss.
The 24-year-old former FC Ashdod man has also stated that he is determined to establish himself as a first-team regular for Celtic under Rodgers next season.
“It is a big honour to be trained by Brendan Rodgers and I’m looking forward to the season starting to show him my quality and that I deserve to play,” Bitton told Celtic’s official website.
“I’m looking to keep my place in the team, to win more trophies with this club, to make the supporters proud and I really want to go to the Champions League, it’s my dream.”
Hint about Celtic future?
Bitton’s comments about playing under Rodgers suggest that he is not thinking about leaving Celtic anytime soon.
The Israel international midfielder has been linked with Premier League duo Arsenal and Sunderland.
Bitton’s comments should be welcomed by Celtic fans, as he is a very good player and would be important for the Bhoys next season.
