Birmingham City's Wes Thomas celebrates scoring their third goal
Former Birmingham City striker Wes Thomas is poised to join League One new boys Oxford United on a free transer.
Thomas is a free agent this summer after seeing out his contract at Birmingham City.
The 29-year-old found himself out of favour at St Andrews and spent two spells out on loan last season at Swindon Town and Bradford City.

Thomas scored two goals in six matches for Swindon, while he scored once in ten appearances for Bradford.
Thomas made just two appearances for Birmingham in the early part of the campaign, before Rowett deemed the 29-year-old to be surplus to requirements by allowing him to go out on loan.
A number of clubs have expressed an interest in Thomas, but Oxford have moved quickly to agree a deal with the former Bournemouth and Rotherham forward.

Thomas is currently undergoing a medical ahead of sealing his move to the Kassam Stadium and the much-travelled striker will add much-needed experience to the Oxford side in League One next season.
Thomas has scored 62 goals in 246 senior appearances for Dagenham, Grays, Rushden and Diamonds, Cheltenham, Crawley, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Blackpool, Rotherham, Birmingham, Swindon, and Bradford.
