Wales' Aaron Ramsey
Ramsey is starring for Wales at Euro 2016 and the paper claim new United boss Jose Mourinho is so impressed he is willing to offer £50 million to sign the midfielder.
It is claimed Mourinho sees Ramsey playing a Frank Lampard like role for United - the club he snubbed in order to sign for Arsenal from Cardiff City back in 2008.
Mourinho leaves his house in London
The chances of Arsene Wenger agreeing to sanction a deal to strengthen a side bossed by his bitter enemy Jose Mourinho are surely low, but a £50 million fee is tremendous value for Arsenal on a player who underwhelmed last season - scoring only five times.
The figure would be United's second ever most expensive signing after Angel di Maria, and Arsenal's highest ever sale.
Wales' Aaron Ramsey in action
Ramsey, 25, has a contract at Arsenal which runs out in 2018, so at present they are under no pressure to sell, although if they do want to keep him, they will have to start making a move on talks over a new deal before long.
This may simply be one of those silly season stories, but either way no progress will occur regarding a deal until Wales' involvement at Euro 2016 is over. At present they stand a good chance of making the quarter-finals, due to face Northern Ireland in the last 16.
